Partnership Program
Attract visitors to your site — freeIf you are a webmaster looking for free content, one of our well-crafted quizzes could be just what you need to attract visitors to your site and hold their interest when they arrive. How does it work? Just send us an email stating your name, the URL of your web-site, and the name of the quiz you want to use. We’ll send you HTML code for the quiz that you can paste into one of the pages on your site. (See details at the bottom of this page.) Can I change the appearance of the quiz? The appearance of the quiz is controlled by styles declared in the HTML code. You can edit the styles to better match the quiz to your site, if desired. Can I insert advertising into the quiz? We provide three places in the HTML code where you can insert a standard 468x60 banner. You don’t have to use any of them, but as part of your agreement with us you are limited to these three. Can I change quizzes? You can get a new quiz up to once a month. Just send us an email to say which one you want out of those available. As part of your agreement with us, you may only host one of our quizzes on your site at a time. How often do you add quizzes? At the moment, we’re adding new quizzes about once a week. We won’t necessarily maintain that rate, but it’s safe to say you’ll have plenty of quizzes to choose from. How will using one of your quizzes benefit my site? Running a successful web-site is all about keeping your visitors entertained. Many people enjoy a trivia quiz, so they’ll spend longer on your site and come back more often. When your content is fresh and interesting, more people will link to your site, improving your search engine rankings. OK, how will this partnership benefit TriviaPark? Included in the copyright box at the bottom of the quiz is a trio of links to web-pages on Trivia Park.com. Our hope is that these links will help new people discover our site. Here’s what the copyright box looks like:
Are the links to TriviaPark.com required? Yes. Including them is part of your agreement with us. If there is interest from webmasters, we will consider the idea of a version without the outgoing links, in exchange for a small monthly fee. How hard is it to use your HTML code? It’s quite straightforward. We give you two chunks of code. The first goes in the HEAD section of the page. Probably you would add it at the end of your existing HEAD code. The second chunk, an HTML table, goes in the BODY section of the page wherever you want the quiz to appear. Can I edit the HTML code? We provide instructions for editing the styles in the code, and inserting up to three banner advertisements, but you are not allowed to make other modifications without specific approval from us. The quiz requires JavaScript. What if the user doesn’t have it? The quiz code checks the user’s browser for the presence of JavaScript and DHTML support. If either is lacking, a message is displayed giving the user a choice of ways of handling the problem, whether by enabling the missing feature or by switching to the non-JavaScript version of the quiz on TriviaPark.com. Since some 97 per cent of users apparently do have JavaScript turned on, this isn’t much of a practical concern anyway. Currently available quizzes Here’s a list of the quizzes we currently have available for the partnership program. Keep checking back because the list will grow over time. (Clicking the names in the list above will take you to the quiz’s page on TriviaPark.com.) Requesting a quiz Just send us an email with the following information:
Then comes the approval process:
Finally we email you the HTML code for the quiz, with instructions and tips for incorporating it into your web-site. |
