6. Wandering vegetable

Although India has contributed many food crops to the world, few of them would belong in a salad. Which of these salad vegetables does come from India?

A) Cucumber ü
B) Green pepper
C) Lettuce
D) Radish

An Asian invader that swept through Europe, the cucumber was later brought to the New World by Columbus. Today it is eaten raw in salads and sandwiches, sautéed, stir fried, or made into soup, although not everyone is a fan.
